Our Sanctuary cats

Antman and Coco

There family was ripped away from them by a horrific domestic violence situation. Many of you know the story. In loving memory of their late owner these two fabulous babies will be safe for the remainder of there lives in our sanctuary.

Linus

Linus is a very active boy. He has a tendency to be a little aggressive when over stimulated, but we are working on those issues. He was surrendered to us because a new baby was on the way and it would have been a bad situation. We believe he was taught these behaviors by being hand raised as a young bottle fed baby. He absolutely loves his fur friends at the sanctuary and even though he can be a little mouthy we love him anyways.

Armani

Armani was found on a porch and was in need of a place to go. She is a wonderful girl who is enjoying her life safe and loved in her forever foster home with her best friend Clay.

Clay

Clay was found as a kitten with his sisters. At that time we did adopt out adoptable cats and kittens. Clay has a deformed eye and was always on the shy side. He made the best of friends with Armani and the two of them have been inseparable since. They are both super happy in there forever foster home.

Smudge

Smudge has been through a lot in his short life. He can be a little reactive when overstimulated. He is a happy boy most of the time, but there is always the chance he is having an off day and turns into a giant grumpy pants. He is truly one of the reasons why our sanctuary is needed in the community.

Biscuit

We are not sure what his life was before he came to us here but he was found abandoned outside a local college. Before we became a sanctuary he was adopted for 2 days and he just was not doing well in the home. His foster mom went and picked him up and told him not to worry because he would remain for the rest of his life in the sanctuary where he is truly happy.

Symon

Symon is a senior boy. He was abandoned outside when his family moved. That was a very traumatic experience for him and he ended up contracted FIV. He is such a good boy and is super spoiled by his forever foster family.

Harley

Harley was trapped in newfane when he showed up at a home that was going up for sale. No owner came forward and he had no where else to go. He is an absolute love bug and just the goofiest boy. He is enjoying life her at the sanctuary and will never be left out in the cold ever again.

Leeta

Leeta is approximately 1.5 years old. She came to us due to a divorce and neither party could keep her. She is a very sweet girl that was hand raised when she was found abandoned on a farm.

Mischief

Mischief has been with us since he was born to his mom Calliope. His brothers and sisters have all been adopted but Mischief bonded with Gremlin who is very shy and not trusting of people other than his foster family. With both of them being black and not super friendly they have never been adopted. But that is ok because they are part of our family.

Gremlin

Gremlin came to us as a very frightened terrified 10 week old feral kitten. He bonded immediately with mischief and he started to relax and realize it was so bad. He really loves his foster mom, but strangers are an absolute no. He has his fur family and that is what matters.

Papillion

Papillion is from a hoarding case. He has been with us for a few years now and still is on the shy side. He is a really happy boy enjoying his life in the sanctuary where he wants for nothing

Kayla

Kayla has been shy since her and her siblings came to us. At a rescue she would have been deemed unadoptable and put into a barn home. This girl and her sister Nala would never have survived in a barn since they were taken in as 8 week old kittens. They both have come so far and we are happy to give them there forever safe place.

Nalla

Nalla and her sister Kayla are such shy sweet babies. They have been with us for a few years now and being a sanctuary these are the types of kitties that need us the most

Rocky

Rocky is a shy boy from the Dunkirk rescue cats. He is learning to trust people but after his ordeal we are sure it is going to take sometime.

Frosty

Frosty is FIV positive we are unsure how long he lived on the streets but it was definitely not a place he could go back to. Recently he has been having some health issues but he is closely monitored in the sanctuary and we will do all we can to make sure he lives a healthy happy life

Sarafina

Sarafina came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a very quiet girl but a super sweetheart now that she has settled in. She will never have to worry ever again about moving into a new situation because she is home now.

Artemis and Buddy

Artemis and Buddy have become inseparable in their foster home. Artemis is a sweet girl found struggling on the streets, and Buddy was going to be thrown outside when his owner passed away. They are safe and loved in their forever foster home.

Noodles

Noodles is a senior boy that came to us with two other senior kitties. Time was running out for this threesome and no one was able to take all three so we stepped up and agreed to help. Noodles was diagnosed with IBD and as we all know this is very difficult to get under control. He would not have done well in a rescue but he is flourishing in our sanctuary.

Baby

Baby is one of the senior threesome. She is an absolute love bug. She came with some eye issues that were never taken care of, but she doesn't let that stop her. She is a happy girl that just loves to sleep in the window and relax on her kitty bed.

Brock

Brock is the last of the threesome of seniors. He is the only one that came in pretty decent condition. He has settled into his forever foster home with his friends and has realized he is safe. He is a lover even though he can be on the shy side

Harvey

Harvey is a good boy he was found wondering on some country property and came running to the first person he saw. He is a super lovable boy but can be a little overstimulated at times. He will give you bear hugs and bite your shoulders if you ignore him to long. He is currently in his observation period after his FIP treatment but is doing great.

Tux

Tux is a feral kitty who's colony needed to be moved due to demolition and no feeders. He was acclimated to a barn home where he faired pretty well with his colony mates until he didn't. He recieved a few injuries and when recovered and sent back he absolutely refused to come out of the trap. So we made the decision to welcome him into the sanctuary where he has made great strides and seems to be really happy

Lily

Lily came to us from a local trapper. She was super sick and needed a lot of care. As you can see she is still not very used to people but she had no where to return to so she is now being socialized slowly and will live out her life as a sanctuary kitty in our rescue.

Scout

Scout was trapped in Wilson outside an apartment complex. The only individual in the area who would feed the cats was getting ready to move. Scout would scream at the door for food and wait patiently. The caretaker asked for help because they knew no one would help him. We agreed and he is now fully vetted and enjoying the cushy sanctuary life.

Odin

Odin is a big lovable boy. He is very timid at first, but who can blame him. When he came to us he was covered in ticks and fleas. He was anemic and looked completely defeated. This boy purs like no other and finally has a clean bill of health. He is very happy In the sanctuary where he can sleep in comfy beds and not worry about surviving on the streets

Luke

Luke hails from lockport where a caretaker would watch him and feed him. They realized he was starting to struggle with life outside so we agreed to give him a chance. He is still settling in but he is definitely enjoying the easy life.

Mai Tai

Mai Tai came from dunkirk with her sister and brother. So many of their colony was killed on the streets and to give these guys a safe place we said yes. They are working on trusting people and the process is long but they are coming along. They are in a loving forever foster home where they can take all the time they need.

Shirley

Shirley is from the group of 3 kittens from Dunkirk that came from a colony that was dying on the streets. Shirley has quite the personality once she settles in and we are excited to watch her blossom into a secure independent kitty that knows she is safe forever. She is def and relies on Mai Tai and Cosmo to support her.

Cosmo

Cosmo is the brother to Shirley and Mai Tai. You would think he is the leader but the truth is his sisters rule and he follows. He is a very shy boy but is coming out of his shell more and more everyday.

Mrs.B

Mrs.B was transferred in from a local rescue. She has always preferred her kitty friends to people. While she is not nasty she prefers to be left alone. She will talk to you for feeding time and once she settles in and gets used to you, you can do the necessary flea treatments and deworming but she is not a fan of being touched.

Toby

Toby the tiger is a very shy boy. He has been with us for a while now and is really loving the sanctuary life. He was born on the streets of lockport and he was only a year old. He deserved a chance to be safe for life. He does love his foster mom and enjoys his fur family.

Knight

Knight came to us from a local rescue. He is originally from Puerto Rico. He is FIV positive but a healthy boy. He was destined to go to a barn home in the middle of winter. But he had never seen a winter and he just doesn't have enough hair to survive a wny winter. It would have been a death sentence for this boy. He was unbelievably aggressive in the previous rescue to the point no one would dare go near him. Well being with us that all changed.

Precious

Precious is a sweet girl but it has taken months of hard work in her foster home to get her to come out of her shell. She is not a fan of being held, and approves of being pet on her own terms. Her foster mom has worked miracles and Precious is always looking for some loving now.

Smokey 2

Smokey 2 looks exactly like our other long haired Grey Smokey. This boy came to us for an opportunity at a better life. He was trapped and vetted, but had no where to go. So we said yes we would work with him and give him all the time he needs. He is FIV positive and a little grumpy. His foster mom is finally been ble to bark through his tough outer shell and he now allows pets but not without his growling. He has a long way to go but that is ok.

Buddy

Buddy has been with us for a few years now. He came from a local shelter where he displayed cage aggression and they were going to send him to a barn home. Buddy is the most gentle soul when he learns to trust you, he is also quite the lover

Sas

Sas is one of those kitties that just prefers to be with other cats. He is really no trouble but prefers to be left alone to hang with his fur friends.

Jasper

Jasper is a feral kitty who was the last one left at his colony. He was taken in by a couple who tried everything to get him to acclimate to their home. Jasper just wasn't happy. We agreed to give this beautiful boy a try, to see if maybe he would be OK in our sanctuary setting. Low and behold Jasper is doing fabulous. He isn't hiding or growling and hissing when his foster mom walks by. He has even made friends with sas which is no easy feat. We are happy that we had a spot open to help

Mila

Mila spent the first part of her life living in a basement where no one new she existed. When the owner of the home died the cats were removed and they found her in a hide hole in the basement. She is slowly learning to trust but definitely has a long way to go

Chief

Chief was not doing very well at a local shelter. He is a very happy boy that prefers the company of his feline friends to humans. He is sweet but it takes time to earn his trust.

Fran

Fran is a big girl that is pretty shy. She is truly content hanging with her fur friends and relaxing in one of the many cat beds. She was part of the Dunkirk kitties that were dumped so we are not entirely sure what her life was before she came to us but we do know she will always have a home with us

Salem

Salem was a very sick kitten. His caretaker knew he needed more so she reached out to a local rescue who helped get him vetted and he spent months on antibiotics but he never really grew to like people. The rescue told the caretaker that he could not be adopted and needed to be returned outside. The caretaker didn't have the heart to see him return to a life outside knowing that he would continuously get sick. We agreed to help Salem so he wouldn't have to suffer outside. He is doing great

Sprocket

This great senior girl has been with us for years. She is a declaw kitty and has always struggled with urinary issues. She is monitored closelyby her foster mom to prevent further issues. Sprocket loves her foster family and her fur siblings and definitely loves the sanctuary life.

Oscar

Oscar spent years living outside his caretaker was moving and new that Oscar couldn't remain by himself with no one to care for him. We said yes to helping Oscar and we are so glad we did because he absolutely loves comfy beds and couches.

Scooter

Scooter was recently trapped by a local trapper. He was friendly but was reactive in the cage so he needed another option. Sometimes shelters and rescues are scary places and cats can act out due to fear and stress. Scooter will never have to worry about being tossed outside again because he is living large in the sanctuary

Loma

Loma is nothing but personality. This beautiful girl has been with us for years. She is a FIP survivor and doing fantastic, she is loved by her foster family and spends long hours sleeping with Sprocket.

Phoenix

Phoenix was trapped in Wilson and is about 9 months old. At the time she was trapped it was unclear if she was friendly and no rescues were available to take her. So we agreed to help. We are definitely happy we did. Phoenix is a real lover and is so grateful for finally being safe. We are her home for life.

Tootsie

Tootsie was living on the streets of lockport. She went missing from her caretakers porch for a couple of weeks and when she came back she was missing an ear and was pregnant. She was trapped and the rescue that agreed to take her had no room at the moment to make room for a feral mom. We said yes and that night she gave birth to 4 babies. She chose one person to trust and to help her, she is just a baby herself. She ended up getting super sick and was at the emergency vet with her babies,

Clawdia

Clawdia was trapped by her caretaker in niagara falls. She was heavily pregnant and they didn't want more babies born on the streets. At the time it was unclear if she was friendly so we were contacted to help. Clawdia gave birth the night before her appointment. She was extremely malnourished and it took months of constant care to get her and her babies through nursing. Clawdia is fully vetted now and is a pretty awesome girl. She will never have to struggle to find food or warmth ever a

Mr.M

Mr.M came to us as a temporary foster. He was abandoned by his owners and a good Samaritan helped him get off the streets and recieve much needed vetting. The agreement was for us to make sure he was safe until he could go home with the finder. That never happened so Mr.M is now a sanctuary kitty. He is full of spice and requires a knowledgeable person to handle him. He is flourishing with us in the sanctuary and we are happy to have him.

Holly

Holly is a feral kitty that was found screaming outside an apartment in Wilson. She had no where to go and no one knew where she came from. The finder had tried to find help from everywhere and was turned down. We were her last option

Bobbi

Bobbi has been a feral cat for years. He is a senior boy and the winters were becoming increasingly difficult for him to survive. When we took him for vetting we were told he was to feral to handle. It is hard to believe we were told that since he has been with us he is actually a very social senior boy who really enjoys chin scratches.

Randall

Randall is a very good boy found wondering the streets. He was not shelter material and was destined to be returned outside. He struggled the first time to survive so when we were asked if we had a spot we said absolutely. He is happy as a single foster in his forever foster home and he is beyond spoiled

Hospice Cats

These kitties are all in experienced foster homes that are equipped to handle their medical needs. We are one of the few rescues in the area that have this type of program.

Hotel

Hotel came from a local rescue after she was rescued from a hoarding situation. Hotel suffers from upper respiratory disease and seizures. She is maintained on medication and herbal supplements. She is shy and not a fan of people so she is considered a hospice kitty. She visits the vet every few months to make sure her medications are correct and to have bloodwork done to monitor her kidneys and liver.

India

India came to us from a local rescue with her house mates Hotel and Kilo. They were all living in a hoarding situation and were never properly socialized. India suffers from chronic upper respiratory disease, skin disorder, and digestive issues. She recieves daily medications and sees the vet religiously every few months.

Cloud

Cloud is just the biggest happy boy. We raised funds to help Cloud with his eye removal when his owner could not afford it. The biopsy of the eye came back as cancerous so his owner decided that it was best that he stay in our care. He has made wonderful friends here at the sanctuary and all he does is purr and ask for love. Cloud is beyond thankful for his new lease on life.

Asti

Anti is a very shy quiet boy. He lived with an older woman who could not care for him any longer. He was never truly socialized and has always had litter box aversion. When he came to us, we knew it would be an adjustment period. We took him to the vet for a full check up and at that time it was discovered he was hyperthyroid. He is well loved by his foster family who deals daily with his litter box aversion and it is improving but will always be an issue. We love him just the way he is.

Squeakers

Squeakers has pica he likes to eat things that a kittyshould not eat. If he is not watched carefully he will ingest non food items. Due to this he needs special litter and needs to have his bathroom habits monitored. He was bonded with our girl Carrie who he just lost recently.

Pippie

Pippie is in end stage kidney failure. We monitor her closely for any changes to make sure she we are providing her with everything she needs. She has always been a shy girl that prefers to be with her furry friends rather than people. She will always have a home with us.

Selena

Selena came to us from a local TNVR advocate. She showed signs of possibly being friendly. She came such a long way and then ended up with neuro FIP. We are happy to say she is in her observation period but her kidneys are damaged from the treatment. Selena has blood work done currently about every 6 months to see how her body is functioning. She is now part of the Forgotten Felines sanctuary for life

Honey Bear

Honey Bear came to us from a local TNVR advocate. He was posted as being dumped in area after surgery with no caretakers in the area. He was retracted and taken to the vet to see what was going on and if he belonged to someone. No one ever came forward so we agreed to help him. He has been with us for a few years. He is an older boy who is in kidney failure and not super people friendly but is loved by his foster family and is well taken care of. He has blood work pulled every few months t

Quinn

Quinn is an older girl set in her ways. She is people selective and prefers her loving on her terms. She has been with us for a few years and no one has ever shown any interest in adopting her. She is now a hospice kitty due to seizures which we are trying to get under control. Her foster mom loves her and she is part of our forgotten Felines family for as long as she is with us

Moe

Moe was found living outside struggling with a bad mouth begging for scraps. He had his dental and was confirmed with cancer. He is living his best life with a fabulous foster who welcomed him with open arms. He is learning to trust his foster mom and now allows some pets. He truly is enjoying the rest of his life in the lap of luxury.

Sam

Sam spent years living on the streets in Niagara Falls. He always had someone to feed him, but recently Sam was having some health issues so his care taker reached out for help. We had Sam's eye removed because he was blind and his eyes were causing him severe pain issues. Sam is adjusting well to sanctuary life he has a full belly and never goes with out. He loves his comfy kitty beds and always seems to be curled up sleeping.

Little Miss Prissy Pants

Little Miss came to us when she was surrendered to a local rescue. She was diagnosed with FIP and the rescue does not treat for it so she was scheduled to be euthanized and she was only 6 months old. We stepped up to take her and start her treatment. She is officially FIP cured but she does have some kidney damage due to the disease. She is monitored very closely by her forever foster family and recieves multiple supplements and requires frequent monitoring to make sure she is healthy and

Hannah

Hannah is a senior girl with some health issues. She was set to be euthanized when the vet reached out to see if we could help. We said absolutely. Hannah is loving life in her forever foster home where she spends her days lounging in the window watching the world go by.
